After Care

Dusting: Regularly dust your table with a soft, lint-free cloth or a feather duster. This helps remove any loose particles or debris that can cause scratches.

Cleaning: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser specifically formulated for wood surfaces. Avoid harsh chemicals or ammonia-based cleaners, as they can damage the finish.  Dampen a cloth with the cleaner and gently wipe the table, following the direction of the grain. Wipe dry immediately afterward to prevent water damage.

Avoid Excessive Moisture: Wood is susceptible to moisture, so avoid placing wet glasses or items directly on the table surface. Use coasters, placemats, or tablecloths to protect the wood from spills and condensation. In case of any spills, clean them up immediately to prevent stains and warping.

Heat Protection: Use placemats and coasters when placing hot dishes, pans, or utensils on the table. Direct contact with high temperatures can cause burns, discolouration, or damage to the wood surface.

Sunlight Exposure: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can fade and damage the wood finish. Consider using curtains, blinds, or UV-blocking window films to protect your table from excessive sunlight. Rotate the table periodically if it's placed near a window to ensure even exposure.

Regular Polishing: To maintain and protect the wood periodically apply a high-quality furniture polish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and buffing. This will help enhance the natural beauty.

Avoid Sharp Objects: Prevent scratches and dents by using coasters or felt pads under decorative items, vases, and other objects that could potentially scratch the surface. Avoid dragging sharp objects across the table and be cautious when handling cutlery or utensils.

Humidity Control: Wood is sensitive to changes in humidity, which can cause it to expand or contract, leading to cracks or warping. Maintain a stable humidity level in your home (ideally between 35% to 45%) by using a humidifier or dehumidifier as needed. This helps minimise the impact of humidity fluctuations on the table.
