Crafty 2021

We went into 2021 on a high. We were still in our first year of trading full time so things were still new and we were still learning but we had a great first year and we had lots of plans for the year ahead. Not only were we excited for the business but in early February we welcomed our little baby boy to the world. As you can imagine things were full on and very challenging but also extremely rewarding and exciting.

We extended our home family and it was also time to extend the Crafty family so in March we

hired Rob, our welder. Rob helped Ben with the metal side of things so he could spend more time managing the business. We still have Kamin on wood work and we have recently taken on two more helpers with Jane also becoming a full time Crafter after finishing maternity leave so our team has grown a lot this year.

In September we had some exciting news for the business. We had entered a competition for small business' on Radio X and we were one of the lucky winners!

Ben spoke live on Air to Chris Moyles! (see previous blog) It was so exciting, not only did we win amazing prizes but we also doubled our instagram followers and gained new customers. It was a huge business success that we will never forget!

With the team growing and the business growing it meant we had outgrown our workshop. In November we finally got the keys to the new workshop, 3 times the size of the old place!

Theres still room for improvement, we have lots of ideas and plans that we hope to see come to light in the new year.

We have exciting projects coming up that we can't wait to share with you.
