We wanted to do something to help others, we did a lot of research and came across Coffee4Craig who are a homeless charity based in Manchester City centre. We found this charity and their story very touching.
Coffee4Craig was founded in 2013 by husband and wife, Hendrix and Risha Lancaster, after the death of Risha's brother, Coffee4Craig's ethos has always been driven by compassion and the need to keep up with demand.
After seven years, they have finally set up their permanent home, The Meanwhile - based in Manchester City Centre - just across from Strangeways.
The Meanwhile allows them to offers a fully rounded range of support to some of Manchester's most vulnerable people. Each evening they operate an out of hours drop in service in the heart of Manchester. Offering hot food, showers, food parcels, access to a barber, medical support, mental health crisis intervention, as well as signposting guests to additional support that is available to them.
As the winter months approach and the colder nights draw upon us it is now more important than ever, we are looking to raise as much money as possible to help anyone on the streets of Manchester.
